On day one of the Ranji Trophy opener between Baroda and defending champions Mumbai, Baroda recovered from 90/5 to 241/6, thanks to a 130-run partnership between Mitesh Patel (86) and Atit Sheth (60). Mumbai pacers and spinners took initial wickets, but Patel and Sheth frustrated the Ajinkya Rahane-led side.
