💨 Abstract
Francesco Bagnaia, the reigning MotoGP champion, won the Japanese Grand Prix sprint on Saturday after leader Pedro Acosta crashed out with four laps remaining. Bagnaia now trails championship leader Jorge Martin by 15 points, with Martin finishing fourth. Acosta, who took pole position earlier in the day, had overtaken Bagnaia on the third lap but lost control near turn seven, missing an opportunity to win his first MotoGP sprint.
