💨 Abstract
Bayer Leverkusen manager Xabi Alonso praised his team for a hard-fought 1-0 win against AC Milan in the Champions League, despite fatigue from a previous game. Leverkusen dominated the opening hour but struggled to score, eventually taking the lead through Victor Boniface early in the second half. Despite Milan's late pressure, Leverkusen held on for the victory, improving their record to a maximum six points.
