💨 Abstract
The English Football League (EFL) defended the League Cup ball, following Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta's claim it behaves differently from Premier League balls. The EFL stated that the ball met FIFA's quality standards and has been successfully used in major European leagues. Arsenal lost the first leg of their semi-final to Newcastle, despite firing 23 shots, but the EFL received no further complaints about the ball.
