Tony Popovic, a former center half for Australia's 'golden generation,' has been appointed as the new coach of the Australian national soccer team. Popovic, who won 58 caps for Australia, has signed a contract through the 2026 World Cup finals. He has previously coached in Australia and won the Asian Champions League title with Western Sydney Wanderers in 2014.
