French tennis player Arthur Fils reached the final of the Japan Open by beating Holger Rune in a tight two-set match. Fils will face fellow Frenchman Ugo Humbert, who also won his semifinal, in the final. Fils saved five match points in the second set and won the match with a precise forehand. Humbert has won all six of his finals on the ATP tour and has beaten Fils in all their previous meetings.
