Jannik Sinner, the world number one, advanced to the Shanghai Masters final by defeating Tomas Machac 6-4 7-5. The Italian will face either Novak Djokovic or Taylor Fritz in the final. Machac, a Czech 30th seed, had previously ended Carlos Alcaraz's 12-match winning streak.
