Jannik Sinner, an Italian tennis player, clinched the year-end number one ranking after a win at the Shanghai Masters. Sinner reached top spot during the French Open in June and has since maintained it, becoming the first Italian to do so. He has won six titles this year, including his first two Grand Slam triumphs at the Australian and U.S. Opens.
