India's men's chess team won the maiden Chess Olympiad gold, led by the youngest ever challenger to the world title, D Gukesh. Gukesh registered one of the best individual performances, winning 9 out of 10 games and clinching an individual gold. Arjun Erigaisi also contributed significantly, elevating himself to number three in the live world rankings.
