On May 15, Indian shuttlers Unnati Hooda and Malvika Bansod were defeated in the second round of the Thailand Open Super 500 tournament. Unnati Hooda, a 17-year-old past champion, lost 14-21, 11-21 to Thailand's world number two, Pornpawee Chochuwong.
