The Athletics Federation of India has announced a nine-member athletes commission, chaired by long-jump champion Anju Bobby George. The commission includes six women and three men, with javelin throw star Neeraj Chopra being the most prominent male member. The panel is a significant step towards gender parity in the AFI's setup, as it features more women than the previous commission.
