Taiwan President Lai Ching-te urged the European Union to sign an economic partnership agreement to boost cooperation in semiconductors and AI. Taiwan seeks this deal as a democracies should work together, especially in the face of expanding authoritarianism. The agreement would provide a secure institutional basis for further collaboration and ensure the stability of global supply chains.
