💨 Abstract

The Union Minister of Communications in India, Jyotiraditya Scindia, announced that satellite communication spectrum will be administratively allocated instead of auctioned. This decision was made based on the Telecommunications Act of 2023, and the cost of the spectrum will be determined by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India.
