💨 Abstract
Location tracking company Unacast, based in Norway, has confirmed a hack on its data broker subsidiary Gravy Analytics. The breach involved the theft of data from Gravy Analytics' web server using a misappropriated key. The stolen files may contain personal data, and the breach was discovered on Jan 4. The timing of the hack is still under investigation, and calls to the Norwegian data protection authority have gone unanswered.
