Meta Platforms, the parent company of Facebook, will not immediately join the European Union's AI Pact, a temporary measure before the EU's AI Act comes into full effect in 2026. The AI Act will require companies to provide detailed summaries of the data used to train their AI models. Meta is focusing on compliance with the AI Act and may join the AI Pact at a later stage.
