Microsoft is reported to pay a premium for a long-term power purchase agreement (PPA) with Constellation Energy related to the Three Mile Island nuclear plant in Pennsylvania. The deal aims to restart a unit of the plant that was shut down due to economic reasons in 2019. The rising demand for clean and sustainable energy for data centers and AI technology is driving the need for nuclear power.
