Russia fined Google and Discord for failing to comply with orders to remove or restrict access to content deemed illegal. The Moscow courts fined both companies 3.5 million roubles each, with Google penalized for not removing illegal content and Discord for not restricting access to banned information. Google and Discord did not immediately respond to requests for comment, and have been under pressure in Russia for content and blocking YouTube channels since Moscow's invasion of Ukraine.
