💨 Abstract
British consumer group Which? is taking legal action against Apple for allegedly breaching competition law by locking customers into their iCloud service. The group claims Apple encourages users to sign up for iCloud, makes it hard to use alternatives, and overcharges customers due to a lack of competition. If successful, 40 million Apple customers in Britain could receive a payout of nearly 3 billion pounds. Apple denies any anticompetitive practices.
