The U.S. Federal Trade Commission has ordered Marriott International and its subsidiary Starwood Hotels to establish an information security program to address multiple data breaches from 2014 to 2020. These breaches affected over 344 million customers worldwide. Marriott will also provide a method for U.S. customers to request deletion of their personal information and restore stolen loyalty points.
