💨 Abstract
BitMEX, a cryptocurrency exchange, has been fined $100 million for violating the U.S. Bank Secrecy Act by inadequately preventing money laundering. After pleading guilty last July, the exchange was also sentenced to two years of probation by a U.S. District Judge in Manhattan.
