💨 Abstract
Silicon Valley startup Lyten plans to construct the world's first gigafactory for lithium-sulfur batteries in Reno, Nevada, with an investment of over $1 billion. The factory aims to address the demand for affordable power sources for electric vehicles by producing up to 10 gigawatt-hours of batteries annually. The facility, initially creating 200 jobs, will eventually employ over 1,000 people in northern Nevada.
