💨 Abstract
The U.S. Treasury has imposed sanctions on Singaporean Yin Kechen and Chinese cybersecurity company Sichuan Juxinhe Network Technology Co. for their alleged involvement in hacking American telecom companies, exposing call logs and conversations of U.S. politicians and officials, as part of the "Salt Typhoon" intrusions. These hacks are described as the worst in American history and have caused significant concern within the U.S.
