💨 Abstract

In Goa, land-grabbing syndicates have targeted ancestral plots, especially those owned by individuals living abroad. Ashley Monteiro discovered his ancestral land in Badem village was being cleared for construction without his knowledge. Many others in North Goa have faced similar issues. In response, the Goa government formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) and a judicial committee to address these cases.
