💨 Abstract
A study by the University of Cambridge found that humans are predominantly monogamous, with about 66% of sibling pairs sharing both parents. This places humans among species like the Eurasian beaver and Damaraland mole rat, which also exhibit high levels of monogamy. The research, spanning modern and ancient human populations, suggests that monogamy increases offspring survival and deters rival mates.
