💨 Abstract

In Punjab, sacrilege has been a significant political issue since 2015. Both the Akali Dal-BJP government and the Congress proposed bills to toughen Section 295A of the IPC. Recently, the AAP introduced a bill proposing 10 years to life imprisonment for sacrilegious acts.
