💨 Abstract
Albanian opposition protesters, accusing Prime Minister Edi Rama's government of corruption and silencing the opposition, hurled petrol bombs and smashed city property. The demonstrators also demanded the release of member of parliament Ervin Salianji and opposed the house arrest of opposition party leader Sali Berisha on corruption charges. Protesters clashed with over 1,000 police officers deployed across Tirana, resulting in 10 officers being injured.
