China tested an operational ICBM flight in September, marking a necessity for the PLA's Rocket Force to ensure its nuclear deterrent. The missile was discreetly transported and tracked from Hainan Island to the South Pacific. Although political messaging was involved, the test also served to validate the system's operational effectiveness. Strategic diplomacy was employed, with the US, France, and New Zealand notified ahead of the launch.
