💨 Abstract
South Korea's new President, Lee Jae-myung , won decisively, capitalizing on public anger over former President Yoon Suk Yeol's failed martial law attempt in December. He took the reins with his Democratic Party, too, making sure to control parliament. Nevertheless, the new president is facing challenges: an economy in trouble, a tense international climate, and a country that still isn't sure how he'll address key issues.
