💨 Abstract

Anura Kumara Dissanayaka, leader of the Janatha Vimukthi Peremuna party, has been declared the winner of Sri Lanka's Presidential Election, beating Sajith Premadasa in a run-off. Incumbent President Ranil Wickremesinghe came third. Dissanayaka called for unity among all Sri Lankans for a new beginning. He is expected to be sworn in on Monday.
