China views the development of ties between the US and Russia on the issue of ending the war in Ukraine as a matter between the two countries. China and Russia are comprehensive strategic partners, and China supports efforts to politically resolve the Ukraine crisis. Russia's President Putin has expressed a willingness to resume dialogue with President-elect Trump, and China believes that major-country competition runs counter to the trend of the times.
