💨 Abstract
Southeast Asian leaders met in Laos on Wednesday for a summit focusing on addressing the worsening civil war in Myanmar. Thailand urged ASEAN to unify and encourage dialogue to end the conflict, which has displaced millions and is widely derided as a sham election. The junta is conducting a census ahead of an election next year, despite not having control over large parts of the country.
