💨 Abstract
A gas explosion in a coal mine in Iran's South Khorasan Province resulted in at least 31 deaths, 16 injuries, and 17 missing miners. The accident, caused by a methane gas explosion, occurred in two blocks of a privately-owned mine operated by the Madanjoo company. The rescue team is expected to reach the miners by tomorrow. The mine passed safety inspections last month, and an investigation has been ordered.
