💨 Abstract
At least three people, including two young children, died in a Mediterranean sea crossing from Libya to Italy. A German sea rescue charity, RESQSHIP, rescued 59 survivors from a rubber boat adrift south of the Italian island of Lampedusa. The migrants had been stranded since Wednesday after their engine failed. Many survivors suffered chemical burns, and a few were in critical condition.
