💨 Abstract
A roadside bomb targeted a convoy of foreign diplomats visiting northwest Pakistan's Swat valley on Sunday, killing one police officer and wounding four others. The diplomats, whose nationalities remain unknown, were unharmed and returned to Islamabad. The attack took place in a region known for Islamist militant insurgency, with militants increasing attacks since late 2022 following the breakdown of a ceasefire with the government.
