💨 Abstract
Debra Tice, mother of American journalist Austin Tice, who was captured in Syria in 2012, recently visited Damascus to search for her son. She believes he is still in Syria and hopes to take him home. Tice, a former Marine and freelance reporter for the Washington Post and McClatchy, was one of the first U.S. journalists to report from Syria during the civil war.
