💨 Abstract

Jailed Belarusian politician Viktor Babariko, who was arrested in 2020 while running against President Alexander Lukashenko, was allowed to send a message to his family for the first time in nearly two years. This was his first contact with family since April 2022. Babariko was one of at least 10 political prisoners being held incommunicado.
