President Joe Biden announced on Wednesday that Israel and Hamas have reached a ceasefire and hostage deal, ending the fighting in Gaza. This deal, the result of 15 months of intensive diplomacy by the U.S., Egypt, and Qatar, will also bring a surge of humanitarian aid to Palestinian civilians and reunite hostages with their families after more than 15 months in captivity.
