United States President Joe Biden visited the Amazon rainforest during the G20 Summit in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, becoming the first US sitting president to do so. He announced major climate initiatives, including an additional 50 million dollars for the Amazon fund, partnerships to reforest the Amazon, and a bioeconomy finance coalition to restore and protect land in Brazil.
