US President Joe Biden has canceled his planned trip to Italy, the final overseas trip of his presidency, to oversee the response to the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles. The wildfires have killed five people, forced thousands to evacuate, and burned over 70 sq km in three areas. Biden declared a Major Disaster declaration for California after returning to Washington.
