💨 Abstract
A fire at a major telecoms data center in central Cairo injured at least 22 people, primarily due to smoke inhalation. The blaze caused significant disruptions in communication, with phone calls and internet connectivity falling to 62% of normal levels. Internet, banking services like ATMs, and credit cards were affected. The fire, likely caused by an electrical short circuit, was contained but led to a temporary shutdown of services.
