💨 Abstract
Bolivian President Luis Arce accused supporters of his former ally-turned-rival, Evo Morales, of staging an armed takeover of military posts and holding soldiers hostage on Friday, escalating tension in Bolivia. Three military posts outside Cochabamba were attacked, resulting in the break-in of armories. Morales urged dialogue with the government but denied responsibility for the assault. A military official warned of soldiers' lives being in danger.
