💨 Abstract
A powerful storm hit Washington state on Wednesday, causing the death of a woman and injuring two others, knocking out power for hundreds of thousands, and disrupting road travel. Schools were closed due to the storm's hurricane-force winds and heavy rain. The storm, called a "bomb cyclone," is expected to bring 10-15 inches of rain in the next few days, causing concern for southwest Oregon and Northern California.
