💨 Abstract
British Indian Alok Sharma, former president of the UN's COP climate summit, has been appointed as the chair of the Transition Finance Council in the UK. The council aims to promote financial products and services that facilitate a UK economy-wide transition to Net Zero to meet the country's clean energy climate targets. The council will support finance capacity building, convene working groups, and engage with UK and international stakeholders to advance priority areas in the sector.
