💨 Abstract
China has announced it will gradually resume importing seafood from Japan, following negotiations that assure the safety of water from the closed Fukushima nuclear facility. Both countries reached a consensus in August over the wastewater release. China will import Japanese aquatic products that meet regulatory requirements and standards, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The ban on seafood imports was imposed last year following the release of treated wastewater from Fukushima.
