China has unveiled its first next-generation amphibious assault ship, Sichuan, marking a significant expansion of its military capabilities. The Type 076 ship, launched on December 28 in Shanghai, features an electromagnetic catapult system, making it one of the world's largest amphibious assault ships. This advanced technology allows the ship to launch larger and heavier aircraft, enhancing its combat range and firepower.
