💨 Abstract
Chinese authorities in Xi'an have arrested musician and performance artist Fei Xiaosheng, known for supporting the Hong Kong democracy movement. Fei, 55, is being held at the Beilin Detention Center and his arrest is part of an ongoing crackdown by the Communist Party on artists viewed as potentially subversive. Another artist, Gao Zhen, has also been detained for "insulting revolutionary heroes and martyrs."
