The number of Chinese espionage cases in Taiwan increased threefold over the past four years, with 64 cases prosecuted in 2023. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) collaborates with local gangs to build a network of armed spies infiltrating various sectors of Taiwanese society, particularly targeting military personnel.
