💨 Abstract
At the COP29 climate summit, BASIC countries, including India, have called on developed nations to fulfill their commitments to provide climate finance and accused them of trying to shift financial responsibilities. The BASIC group, along with other countries, also emphasized the need for full implementation of the Paris Agreement and clear pathways for converting financial pledges into binding agreements. Developed countries have been criticized for not delivering on their own commitments, particularly regarding climate finance.
