💨 Abstract

Australian cyclist Rohan Dennis received a suspended jail sentence for the death of his wife, Melissa Hoskins, who was hit by his car in December 2023. Hoskins, an Olympic track cyclist, was struck after an argument when she held onto the car as Dennis attempted to drive off. Dennis admitted to creating the likelihood of harm but was not held criminally responsible for her death.
