💨 Abstract
Anura Kumara Dissanayake, the leader of the Marxist JVP's broader front National People's Power (NPP), has won Sri Lanka's presidential election with 52% of the votes. He received 727,000 votes while his nearest rival, Sajith Premadasa, received 333,000 votes. The voter turnout was around 75%.
